After a successful interview with the Landowner, Montare was chosen above other parties and agreed a deal to promote the land with a view to deliver a carbon-free residential development with particular focus on designing a scheme sensitive to the local landscape and providing a biodiversity net gain.

Montare have taken their usual approach of instructing specialist consultants to work with at an early stage. With heritage and landscape being priority considerations, we assigned our relevant specialist consultants help curate a project that was considerate to an ancient monument and a listed building.

Working with Uttlesford District Council’s Planning Department, Montare has already engaged with Essex County Council’s Design Quality Review Panel and held meetings with District Councillors and other stakeholders.

With the design of the scheme being critical, Montare are in the process of undertaking further consultation with the local community by arranging a public presentation of the latest plans at a local venue.
